Homewood Canyon, CA - Not what I expected

 Every time I'd drive to Death Valley from Ridgecrest, I'd see this sign for Homewood Canyon.

So, I decided finally to see what was up there. It was an extremely bumpy road that passed by very expensive houses, ruins, and a wild donkey.
