Having lived in NY during 9/11, I am touched that Ridgecrest has honored the fallen of 9/11 with this annual parade.
Today, I finally found myself ready to actually participate instead of bawling by the side of the road as it passed by.Well, I bawled the entire route, but I got through it.
The flags are posted in a grassy field for several days after and there's usually a candlelight vigil the night of the parade.
